* The scene opens up at a KCW House show in San Antonio, Texas. The fans in attendance have not witnesses much wrestling as the show had just begun. A backstage reporter is shown on the titantron.*
Reporter: “It has been months since we last witnessed Jesse Nunez inside the wrestling ring. Yesterday I had a chance to travel to Glendale, Arizona to interview the current KCW United States Champion. He lets the whole world know his status in KCW, APW, his thoughts on EWC returning under President Mac, his acting and music career, and family life. Please roll the footage.”
* The titantron switches to video footage of the young woman reporter in front a large house.*
Reporter: “Its Samantha Kennedy here. I’m outside the house of KCW United States Champion, Jesse Nunez. He does not know I am here, let alone know about this interview that Michael Saint has approved. Let’s see if he is home.”
* The reporter walks up to the door as the cameraman follows. She rings the door bell and looks back into the camera. Shortly after the door opens and it is Jesse Nunez. He does not look much different than the last time he was seen in KCW. He is wearing his usual outside attire with red Air Jordan shorts, a white t-shirt, and black socks for him to walk around his house in.*
Jesse Nunez: “Who are you?”
Samantha: “I’m Samantha Kennedy. Michael Saint sent me here to interview you.”
Jesse Nunez: “I don’t want to do an interview.”
* Jesse goes to shut the door, but Samantha puts her foot between the door, preventing it from closing.*
Samantha: “But you must, you are still under contract with KCW. If you do not do this interview it would put you in breech of your contract.”
* Jesse looks at her.*
Jesse Nunez: “Come in.”
* She does as she is told. Jesse sits on a couch as does the reporter on the opposite couch.*
Samantha: “Jesse it has been a long while since we seen you last in a wrestling ring. Why is that?”
Jesse Nunez: “My lawyer suggested to me that it would be best if I stay away from wrestling for awhile until I get this whole situation I’m in sorted out. I figure his advice sounds like the best thing in the world right now. So I’ve done just that.”
Samantha: “So what have you been doing with all your time off of wrestling?”
Jesse Nunez: “I’ve been pretty busy. I still go into the studio to record music, actually Drake was he the other day, and we went pretty hard on the track. I’ve read scripts but nothing looks right at this moment for a movie. But I keep getting at least five scripts a day. The time I’m not doing any of that, I’m with my wife.”
Samantha: “Speaking of which, where is Victoria?”
Jesse Nunez: “She went to see her sisters at their house.”
Samantha: “How has she taken the whole situation?”
Jesse Nunez: “You mean after we lost our child because that fuckin’ psychopath Victor Hades in APW? It’s been hard you know. She and I were so excited to start a family. And all of that was taken away. She has taken it the worse though. I have come to terms with the fact that I will not be a father right now. But her…Some days have been better than others. One day she will be fine, but the next day she just breaks down in tears. The nursery upstairs remains empty. But every night, I wake up in the middle of the night to find Victoria gone from my side. I get up to find her, and there she is, sitting in the rocking chair next to the crib, crying.”
Samantha: “We understand that Victor Hades was arrested on Overdrive about a week ago. He has been accused of murder, kidnapping, and assault. He has since been released from jail on bail. We also understand you intend on filing a lawsuit on Victor Hades.”
Jesse Nunez: “I am not in liberty to talk to you about the law aspects of the whole situation with Victor Hades on camera. So I am going to have to ask you to move on.”
Samantha: “Fair enough. Are you at least still under contract with APW?”
Jesse Nunez: “I am, but it does not matter if I show up there or not since Hurricane Jeff has not been there. He was kidnapped by Mac and those EWC idiots right?”
Samantha: “That is correct. What do you think about everything that has transpire with the EWC?”
Jesse Nunez: “I could care less about the EWC. I’m not an EWC superstar anymore.”
Samantha: “Are you even aware that you have a match this Sunday against Beth Harte for your KCW United States Championship?”
Jesse Nunez: “I am.”
Samantha: “Well?”
Jesse Nunez: “What the fuck do you want me to say? I’ma show up and beat her to retain my title, you don’t need me to say that. I am allowed to show up to my matches whenever it is necessary. I will be at The Clash, with my wife by my side. Now if there isn’t anything else you have to ask, I want you out.”
* The video cuts out, as it the video feed goes back to Samantha backstage at the house show.*
Samantha: “You heard it here first everyone. Jesse Nunez will be at The Clash as he defends his United States Championship against contender Beth Harte.”
*The scene begins to fade with the fans cheering in the arena.*
